MAS Jumbies is a company of seasoned masqueraders who bring with them the experience of playing and making mas. Founded in 2006 and headed by renowned Trinidad artist Brian Wong Won, the company is dedicated to the perseverance and advancement of Trinidad Carnival as an art form and language. Since 2007, the company had produced 5 artistic award wining J'Ouvert bands. MAS Jumbies seeks to offer a new aesthetic perspective to Carnival and the Carnival experience. MAS refers not only to the festival of Carnival but also stands for Masquerade, Art & Spirit, three components that provide the basis and catalyst for the company’s drive and existence.
MAS Jumbies is an all-inclusive J'Ouvert band that supports and withholds the traditions of traditional Trinidad Carnival via its presentations. Costume and the power of the masquerade is paramont as well as excellent customer service. The band prides itself as one of the very few J'Ouvert bands in Trinidad Carinival that actually supply a complete themed costume.
The band is family oriented with members coming from all corners of the globe, encompassing all creeds, races and age groups. MAS Jumbies is regarded as a Noveau Traditional band.
